Seriously, has anyone else noticed that they have licensed alot of really moe yuri/lolicon shit? I cannot be the only one. I mean, look! Kashimashi! Strawberry Panic (both the novel and manga)! He is My Master! Kodoma no Jikan! etc! Not that it isnt a good thing, of course.. but it is just strange. I’m also curious as to if Kodoma no Jikan–with it’s TERRIBLE rename to Nymphet (why on earth did they pick such a suggestive name anyways?)–will even get into Canada bookstores. I was surprised enough to see Hayate the Combat Butler here (which, btw, Viz isn’t doing a very good job on. Sigh.)
Speaking of Kodoma no Jikan–I seem to have next to zero faith in the anime. While a large part of me (the lolicon part, evidently) hopes it will be at least half as amusing as the manga, I know in my loli loving heart this will not be so. D: but, I suppose as I get a fix of nice, long-haired little girls, I will be content.
I’m also rather surprised at the annoucement of the Kiddy Grade “rehash” movies. As great as I found Kiddy Grade to be.. isn’t this a bit of an overkill? A second season, and now throwing the original series, with a few new scenes, into movies? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that big of a hit, even with super moe girls like Eclair and Lumiere. and five years later? If it was that great a hit, why wait? why wouldn’t you run with it while it’s still hot? who knows. Not that I mind more Lumiere, of course :)
yeah. I kind of forgot I had even intended to use this amidst all the TV sellin’ I do all day. ah, the world of Electronics departments. I will, however, have some real content in the form of game reviews tomorrow afternoon! .. or so I hope =p
